Alfred Hitchcock, famouse film-maker. He made a lot of horrors, films.. but in fact he was afraid of.. eggs! Who was he at all? Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock (August 13, 1899 - April 29, 1980) was an iconic and highly influential British film director and producer. He directed more than 50 features films (from the silent film era, through the invnsion of talkies, to the colour era).
He was proud of his skill to make people feel scared. In France one custom offical saw in his passport that Alfred's a producer and he asked: Whad do you produce? Hitchcock replied: Fear...
Books say that Hitchcock appeared in his own films for example like a customer, person in the street.. Maybe he wanted people to remember him? Or just to feel like an actor? [It doesn't say in any of sources which i read].
I've read that Alfred made his films in the USA - they were a great success. Actually he went there to did something special and he did it perfectly! Alfred did not feel as good as earlier. He started to make a new film.. after that he died when he was sleeping. Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock was called "Master of Suspense" because nobody as good as him could build tension full of silence and so on which brings to an end of people's calmness.
I think that Alfred Hitchcock was one of the main people in history of cinema, films and fear. He probably inspired a lot of new directors and producers.
